I’m about to split the crankcase on my bonnie t120. Instinct is telling me to mark the valve timing points before stripping down, also Haynes manual saying so but a friend who’s helpings me strip and rebuild says not to worry about it as we’ll time it up after. What’s your thoughts?

I’d always mark it up before a strip down, just to be on the safe side ;)

Here are marks for T120, your wheels will have the same marks on them so no need to mark. cam timing.jpg

As said dont worry...its all pretty simple to time up, marking wont help much anyway as they only line up every 90 odd revolutions anyway.... they only thing to note is when you pull the cam wheels and find they have three key ways.;)
