Hi just joined forum after 8 years without a Triumph. Always had triples but need a lower, lighter bike and more useable torque. 2014 Bonneville fits the bill perfectly. Love the pull from the get go right up to 70 when the wind blast starts getting feisty. Only complaint is the engine noise. Really clattery on tickover when warmed up. Get embarrassed waiting at the lights as I feel everybody else noticing. If I wanted a tractor I'd have bought a Harley.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Had two Bonnevilles and wouldn't call them noisy.

Hi Welcome. I've a 2012 Bonneville and it's not noisy, you may have a problem. Fortunately you'll find all the help you need on this forum.

Good morning and welcome. I think your noise is relative, coming from the Harley camp myself. I thought my scrambler was "whiney" at first, but now I think it's just normal transmission sound. all bikes are different after all. Just my 2 cents. remember to always be safe!

Hi and welcome in BonnieKit. Though a recent model wit lower mileage My twin is very quiet. If it's as loud as you describe I'd have it looked over, sounds like something might be wrong.

It's the most ridiculously mollycoddled bike ever. Less than 4 years old. First owner had 6 services carried in under 3000 miles!! Second one owned it for less than 9 months and only put 8 (yes 8) miles on it. (they're a bit OCD down in deepest Sussex). Never seen rain. Like it's just come out of factory. Got nice metal flake black paint job. So overall a good starting point to "pimp my ride", but if I can't sort out the noise then I can't live with it. It's quiet when starting from cold but gets noisy after about a mile. Shame, as I changed suspension front and rear within first week and am now free of the osteopath.

Mines not had a service yet in four years!! That’s probably why it’s quiet as hell as it’s not been tampered!! Oh and yes I need my arse kicking now!

Hi and Welcome, thought I had the wrong site when I saw the title!
Reminds me of another thread a while back entitled 'Everyone loves banging twins!'
Hope you get to the bottom of the noise problem.
