it's a great weekend, loads of Harleys but loads of other bikes too..and great music If your coming from Glasgow direction A82 to Spean bridge then along the A86 when you get to Kingussie take the back road to Aviemore..Friday and Saturday nights are the best
I went last year it was awesome, but for some daft reason I've signed up to do the Aberdeen half marathon instead - I need to give myself a shake and reconsider priorities
It is Great. I went for a day last year loads to see and do I think it would be a excellent night out as well. I would go as far as to say its the biggest bike event in Scotland.
Think I'll go for the day on Sunday just to see what all the fuss is about. Haven't had the Tiger up Glenshee & The Lecht yet so I'm looking forward to that.
Weather looks fine for Sunday,I've been up a few times for the Friday,Saturday and it's a great weekend, the big ride out is on Saturday (never been out on that though as it's not my thing), Sunday is a lot quieter as a lot of folk leave in the morning, there should still be stalls and live music going on though. part of the Blair-Glenshee road has recently been resurfaced..it's even better now!...have a good time..Ps what time do you reckon you will be passing Blair?
Thanks for the info Dougie, never been before so not sure what I'm expecting to see/hear. I reckon I'll leave Penicuik around 6.30 (ish) so possibly be passing through Blair around 8.00am. Looking forward to a blat up that way as the bike will click over 1000 mls on the way, properly run in then Probably chocka busy with bikes though but it's a day out I suppose.
I made my way, there were bikes coming from all directions untill I was one of maybe 40 bikes arriving, with a constant stream before and after. the ride out took 30 minutes to pass by 2 abreast (boobies)
