Just got back from a very enjoyable 2 hours on the new Thruxton R. Bloody brilliant bike: looks fantastic - some really nice design touches (tank strap, top yolk, Monza fuel cap), handles well but that engine is to die for. Sounds good with stock cans - a rich, deep rumble so just as enjoyable at low or high speed. Took a bit of getting used to after the Tigers seating position but after a coffee stop and then a photo stop it felt fine - not too cramped and the bars are not too low (there are clip-on options in the cafe racer kit).
One thing to note - the starter button is now a three position kill switch and the hazard warning button is where you would expect the starter button to be!
guys you dont need 10 k cash , PCP deals are just too good to be miss out from this beauty. The new age is here , the cash buying is out the door.
The standard Thruxton appeals to me more than the 'R'. A bit more traditional, I suppose. Looks great in that green, which is, after all, blue with added yellow. Crispey WILL be relieved!
