Hey guys, I am looking for something very specific. The structure of my trailer runs only lengthwise along the trailer, there are no 'crossbeams' so to speak. It is also brand new and I would prefer not to drill into it. So I have heard a lot of guys talking about wheel chocks that don't require bolting down. Which are these, and how do they work? I don't understand where they get their stability. Help please! I need to trailer my bike 3700km in 2 weeks, and need to sort this asap. cheers! AC
A photo of your trailer might help but ratchet straps should be angled fore and aft as well as side to side to restrain accelerative and decelerative forces. Done properly you don’t necessarily need a chock.
I may make a wooden one like the youtube video here Pics of trailer: you can just see the tie downs, 4 of them that are recessed but pull up out of the floor. Today I bought some extras if needed to add more
I don't use a trailer, but transport in a pickup. Check out Baxley wheel chocks. https://www.baxleycompanies.com/shop/sport-chock/ If you use tie downs right , should be no need for securing to trailer
