    Ok all,
So I like to ride in two piece leathers.
The problem is when on your it's a royal pain in the ass stopping to pull on waterproofs and the stop half hour later cos your sweating like a sweaty thing...
So, I am looking for an affordable alternative...
Surely someone out there has come up with a textile version of a two price race leather out fit....

    The requirements are:-
    Goretex or similar
    Two piece with short jacket
    Sporty cut
    Full armour
Here's the big one... Knee Sliders...

    Anyone seen any??

Go buy Gore tex leathers instead....
I usually have a compromise... Leather trousers with knee sliders and full Gore tex jacket..
That way if its a light shower i don't bother stopping as its only legs going to get wet.. (I have Gore tex Sidi boots) or if it looks like a bit of rain i stop and just put on Water proof trousers over the top.Takes 2 mins to slip on no fussing about & dry as a bone....:upyeah:

Get a good jacket that has plenty of vents so in the summer your cool, Alpinestars do a nice one for circa £200.. Their version of gore tex though...

Alpinestar Gunner WP Jacket Black £179.99

I felt disappointed when I needed new boots and found out that Alpinestars stopped doing their Goretex SMXs. However, their own waterproof ones seem just as good as far as warmth/waterproofing goes so maybe their clothing is the same? Not so chuffed about the plastic gear-change protection on the boots as they've made it smaller and I tend to change gear with the tip of my toe so it started wearing out the leather toe from day one so I've changed the way I change gear.

Maybe they're back by popular demand?

I used to wear nothing but Daytonas (Goretex) but since I don't have my own business any more and now there's always too much month left at the end of the money...

Ahhhh... I have 2 pair and there ok...you got to be carefully washing them apparently... Almost hand wash.. Virtually no heat..30 deg max.. Otherwise the waterproofing delaminates itself.....
But that's just me... Or the wife's instructions....
