Bike is a 2023 t120 black. The bike pulls real smooth thru 1-4th gear. Put pulls real ruff when accelerating thru 5th and 6th gear. Smooths out when you level throttle out. Is this normal?
Nope, what do you mean by ruff, holding back, kangarooing? bit more info would help, speeds revrange etc
Just not smooth. Maybe feels like cutting out. I am thinking maybe lean. I have had Harley’s do it and then a new tune cured it. Do they have a tune that they do with the 600 mile service? I did the service myself. 5th gear 50-60. 6 th gear 60-70. Maybe I am lugging it. Not sure what range this motor enjoys
4th gear at 55 mph is ~3000 rpm on my T120, so 5th gear @ 50mph is a bit too soon. You might be feeling the result of a bit of lugging. I can ride all day on secondary roads and never use 6th gear. Experiment with shift points see how it goes.
I got a tune from the States for my T120 search DNK tuneworks, it works great but if yours is new maybe best to speak to a dealer? I can run my T120 from 2500 upwrds in sixth
Thank you all. When it quits raining out here. I will check it better. I think maybe need to be a little higher rpm’s when shifting. I got bad habits with the Harley’s of their low rpm.
