In Keystone South Dakota for the Sturgis rally. Here for 11 nights. I'm not going to have time to do a brilliant report like Sandi, as we've got so much to see and do, so apologies for that but it's going to be pictures with a short explanation. And I've only got my mobile phone with me.
They were here last week, I did contact her, but sadly no we're not Iron horse mountain road. Fantastic, in a bloody car.
Cheers Markus, got to admit that this phone pictures do come out rather well. Deadwood tomorrow then a few other places. Fingers crossed the weather holds.

Hey, @Bikerman! Hurray! I'm so glad to see this thread and so VERY sorry that Steve and I just missed you two in South Dakota. I hope you have a total blast!! We just got home this very day after 3,113 wonderful miles on the road. Looking forward to settling in and reading your thread. I'll start one too as soon as I can figure out how the heck to renew my forum subscription. @Havit, can you assist please?
Wow, love your pics of Crazy Horse, @Bikerman. We were slated to go there last year and it didn't work out. Not this year either. But now that I see your photos, we'll have to make it a "must" next year if we go again! (It does get a bit addictive to ride to the Black Hills, I must admit.)
Great pics of Deadwood, @Bikerman! That's where we stayed for three nights. Sadly, just before your arrival. We ate at the Deadwood Social Club one night which is on the second floor of Saloon #10. Boy, I'm missing my emojis! ;-) :-(
Beautiful photos of Spearfish Canyon, @Bikerman. Steve and I rode it one of the two full days we were in Deadwood. I absolutely love that ride! Got an "official" photo on my bike and me, too. There's a photographer who sets up roadside to take pics of riders as they go by. I'll post that (and lots of others) when I am able to renew my subscription. I'm realizing how much that $6 (or so) a year gets us!! Edit: Well, I figured out how to renew my subscription. And it's exactly $6.93! Best deal going.
We didn't make it to Black Hills Harley-Davidson, @Bikerman, which bummed me out. I love that scene! But Steve and I did ride to Sturgis Harley-Davidson which is now a full dealership meaning they sell new bikes, not just parts and tee-shirts. They'd built a bunch of "Sturgis bikes" in honor of selling their first motorcycles. Interestingly, one of our Sunday riding group buddies trailered his bike to the rally. He's been ogling a 2025 Road Glide (with flames--his fave). Well, our buddy Russell got a text from him and he bought one at Sturgis H-D! Zero down and 1% financing. Right up his alley. He was wheeling and dealing with our local dealership and didn't make the deal. Go figure. He traded the bike he trailered there and is driving home with a new one! --insert laughing emoji face here--
