Just looking for some advice actually, regarding bag options for a Street Triple R fitted with grab rails as per below: I've been mulling this over for ages now, and have just tried the panniers offered as a freebie on here without success (they're about to go to the next in line on the thread on the same postage-only basis). Sadly they just didn't work with the grab rails, though. The bags that really look perfect are the SW-Motech Blaze H saddlebag set... However, at about £300 they're just too expensive, especially as I don't know what they'd look or fit like hanging over the grab rails. Does anyone know of a good. tidy solution, or am I better off with a simple tailbag secured with a couple of bunjies and just calling it a day?
Have a look at Ventura or you could buy a Givi rack and add your own bags/panniers, cos their racks are cheap but the bags are expensive. For cheap bags look at Lomo.
Not sure if you're set on having panniers but I have the official rear tailpack on mine and it's great.
I have the bag desire also for my street triple. All of them when searching the web and then following up with YouTube say the bags rub the paint off the plastics at the rear... no good IMO. Have replaced them at almost $200 each already (Canadian $ so like, 5£ or $10 U.S.). Have decided just a better idea to buy additional motorcycle more suited to hauling around my stuff and use my Triumph for lone rips, backpack at most.
I’ve looked at those, actually, although I’m kind of homing in on the Kriega US 20 and US 10 at the moment (especially as they’ve now released a fixing kit specifically for the Street Triple). That said, a roll bag presents a good fall back position and a much cheaper option.
