At the beginning of April I was told I was having major surgery To correct a AAA…that happened on St George’s day (23 April for those Heathens among you!) it didn’t quite go as planned so I was in surgery for 8 1/2 hours and in ICU for ten days…..during that time I “crashed” twice…..

Anyway…..thanks to the superb efforts of the vascular surgery team and post operative care team/s at Addenbrookes hospital I have pulled through 100%, with just a sternum to pelvis scar to show for it. The greater news is that I got back on the Tiger yesterday and went for a ride for a few hours, which has also lifted my spirits….

Any of you guys who are about around Norfolk, particularly “Sunny Hunny” give me a shout if you want to go for a ride in company…

Sadly, there is a downside…….The long haired Colonel has now closed the sympathy and pandering file……I can no longer just spend money for the sake of it as I have no cards to play any more…. :worried:

So glad to see you back on the forum, Ken! I'm so sorry that you've been through the wringer health-wise but glad you came through and are on the mend. And that you're mended enough to be able to ride your Tiger! That is good news. :) How are all your furry friends faring? Can you ride your horses yet??

Sounds like it's been a long and .... uhmmmmm ..... 'interesting' journey recently! Very glad to hear that you're through it and mended enough to get back to life's real pleasures - the sun in your face, the wind in your hair (assuming you have some!) and the triple cylinder howl resonating through the empty space between the ears .... well, it is in my bonce - perhaps not yours!

I'm sure you could get sufficient sympathy from the LHC to consider a swap of the Tiger for a Street Triple .... lighten the load AND increase the pleasure. WinWin as the septic tanks might say?

    Stay well and stay safe.

Sternum to pelvis? That's a scratch, not a scar :)

Glad to hear you're up and about again, and back on your bike as well! Look after yourself, though, and don't take liberties whilst you're still in recovery.
