    Hi all,

I have a question regarding the rear turn signal indicator stalk length. I have had my bike for over 17 years and the panniers were on the bike when I bought it. Maybe due to age, the rear indicator rubber stalk broke. I found a site that sells OEM indicators and bought one. After I put it on, I noticed that the stalk is longer than the previous one. It now hits the pannier when it is installed. Did the factory pannier kit require the indicators to be replaced with shorter ones?

    thanks,

Thanks. I guess I will have to find a part number for the shorter one...and a place that sells it.

Well, looks like I am doing both sides now. I went to take the panniers off yesterday before taking it to the shop (fuel line leak...different story) and the other indicator broke off. I guess the rubber that makes up the stalk gets old after 18 years...
