Newbee question, Can I run the engine from a slave fuel tank or does it need to be connected to the fuel pump.

Thanks for the help lads. Now, 2 things. 1st, Fuel line connector that goes into the tank broke, surprise surprise. 2nd, Datatool 3 bypassed, engine spins, pump does not prime. When tried on my daytona power supply it works. Relay or wiring? Thanks.
