Entirely unbiassed opinion... Meh camping, nice idea, to be free, I've scoped all the kit etc and concluded after extensive research in reality is it's borrax, I'd opt for a nice pub with bar, a nice restaurant, bed and hot brekkie. After hours in the saddle my arse is like a flame grilled whopper and spine knackered, all I need is to sleep on some 2 inch air bed Doesn't do it for me pot noodles, burnt sausages and baked beans and I don't fancy shitting in the woods, wont tread on sharp rocks or branches during my seemingly endless night time pees and can have a nice shower. Oh and did I mention groups of pissed-up bikers or loud yoofs keeping me up all night. If ever then wild camping maybe, I'd want to catch a rabbit so I had something soft to wipe my arse with though. Route looks a good one. I don't do camping cause once I get down on the floor to get into a sleeping bag I cannot get back up again after a sleep. On the derailing of threads, it is good to see the professionals are on the task. You all know who you are
Camping with your bike can be really awesome fun. I took my little Beta Alp 4.0 on a camping trip last summer, was amazing
Wow, looks really nice! Always wanted to come over and drive around in that area. I love camping with my bike. Normally me and my son, who is now 12, love camping together. Some really good father and son time We have already planed a trip at the end of April, just a long weekend.
Old pharts need warmth, plus I can carry 5000 lbs of beer and snacks. Already did the tent thing when younger and bolder. Bikes go in the trailer till I arrive refreshed at a great riding destination. Live in Kansas so riding destination is at least 300 miles of boredom.
