Good evening Gents - I bought this '97 Speed Triple 885 (8600 miles on the clock) which had been in a mild wreck. All the turn signals were missing so I bought LED signals and LED relay. Hook them up and got nothing except when I press the headlight passing switch the headlights go out (when they should switch to high beam) and the turn signals momentarily flash. Was on another site and advised to go back to stock relay and add resistors. Somebody else told me I could use the LED relay and resistors. Another said check the earths I need to firstly verify that my stock relay is indeed stock, which is the HELLA relay. If it is not stock, I need to find a cheapER alternative to the Triumph part as they want $69 for one. Went to the auto parts store but apparently automotive relays have the polarities reversed.... All that said, has anyone else encountered this problem when switching to LED signals and what did you do to fix it? Am hoping not to have to trace out all the earths... Thanks John in Florida
Someone else on here had that indicator pass signal thing. https://www.worldoftriumph.com//par...log/triumphmc/modelid/10002/block/302882-1-2/ https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/OEM-Triump...ignal-Flasher-Relay-2500025-t0301/19023538204
I found a cheaper relay on eBay that wasn't listed under the TB556 part number. Start from stock and go from there..expect this will end up being a pain in the ass, hopefully not too big a pain..
