I think the marketing department at Meridian must have been drinking magic mushroom tea when they came up with that as an idea, glad they did though, such a cool bike.

They wouldn’t let me take it for a spin! The hotel owner is a collector there was a couple of old scooters and pushbikes in there too, so I guess he’ll know the value

And the fairings behind the bike are the original "Windjammer" designed and fabricated by Vetter. I always thought they looked the business and so had one of the rather shameless, British copies ("Comaco Pantera" - made by a Southampton based company, IIRC) fitted to an XS750 DOHC in 1978.

In reality it made the iffy handling of the XS into something even less impressive and didn't do very much to improve the abysmal fuel consumption, either! Not a bike I greatly miss - it was certainly not as good as the GS850 that replaced it!

A Triumph/BSA or BSA/Triumph...but a pretty nice bit of design for back in the day.

750cc BSA Rocket 3 engine in a custom designed bike with a Triumph logo on the tank and marketed as a Triumph Hurricane.:yum And about as practical as an ashtray on the handlebars due to a small petrol tank and a thirsty engine:(. Usually to be found being marketed at around the £20,000 mark in the UK, if you can find one.

Nothing that special about them bar the styling and rarity, just a BSA version of the the T160 engine different cases same internals with a four speed rather than a five speed box.
