    1. Allow loads of time for oil draining to get as much as poss. out - rock the bike from side to side as well;

    2. Use a new copper washer for the sump plug and DON'T over-tighten it;

    3. Fill the new oil filter with fresh engine oil before installing it;

    4. I think you'll need to take the tank and the airbox out, to access the spark plugs, so maybe it would be a good time to change the air filter as well?

    If you have to lift the fuel tank and remove the air box to change the plugs (which I'm sure you do), take a picture of all the pipes and electrical connections. On reassembly, double check they are all secure before lowering the tank back in to position. Take extra, extra care if disconnecting the fuel connectors, as some early ones are very brittle.
    Put copper grease on the spark plug threads and dialectric grease on the HT lead connectors.

    I always pour my oil into a measuring jug . i know some dont and do it direct from the can. But i find it easier to get the right amount and to pour.

    Basic tip but a tip worth mentioning:)

    Ok, I changed the oil (after an embarrassing phone call to a main dealer filter was!)

    I am a bit concerned about doing the plugs as there's a lot to take off!!

    Also I think my cam chain is rattling :(

    Don't say that! Lol

    I will get a manual, when funds allow! Stuck at the moment as the bike is my only means of transport so ploughing everything into making that right first :(

    You may want to change the coil seals to T1291511. Unless they have been done already.

    She's a cow is what she is!!!! Lol

    Need to adjust the auto choke somehow has it switches off after 3 seconds, thus not helping when the engine is cold!!

    And the idle seems too low, when in first with clutch in she feels like she's about to stall!!!!

    Neutral is about 900rpm and first is about 750-800.

    Are you referring to the free play adjuster?
