Ok so I have owned my 2015 street triple R for almost a year now so am looking at getting a service.

I am very confused as the service book is fully stamped (although not all by a triumph dealer). There are 5 stamps and the next one is 30,000 miles/ 5 years. My bike has only done about 4,500 miles.

Am I correct in assuming that all the major services have been done even though the mileage is a lot lower.

Hi Ray, most mfrs will say each service needs to be at X000 mls or annually (minimum oil and filter change).

Additional stuff such as valve checks are distance not time dependent so I would assume they have not been done.

That makes sense gents, thank you. So I will need to think about my 6000 mile service soon.

I would think it has had annual services as it hasn’t done much mileage. Next service should be at around 6000 miles I think, or a year after the last date, whichever comes first.

just re checked the mileage and its 5000, this means I did 1500 miles this year. Bear in mind I was out of action for a few (winter) months with a broken thumb (and other minor injuries).

it has full history (not all Triumph) so not sure if I should get an annual done at a garage so as to keep up the history, or do it myself to save cash.

The 6k service should come up in the winter so I will defo get that done at a garage (due to the harder work needing doing)

I suggest calling Clive Wood 07752477738. He will tell you what needs doing and what does not, worth a call at least.

I would have thought your bike has had an oil n filter changes and possibly brake fluid once. as said previously the plugs n valves only require changed/checked when the miles are a lot higher.
just get out and enjoy putting the miles on, now the weather is getting better
