I agree totally. I use Sygic on my Android phone and could not be more satisfied. At the current cost of the World maps (one third of what I paid when it first came out), speed limits alert, current traveling speed and fixed speed traps alert, and with lifetime free maps updates, it is indeed a no brainer.
i make up routes with the web site "myroute-app",then i transfer them on to my sat nav, if i was using a smart phone would i be able to download the routes as a GPX file on to the likes of copilot?
My GPS charges on the bike, so charging isn't an issue. Also you can listen to music and make phone calls via the GPS. Can't argue the cost side though - actually, technically I could, as I got my GPS free with the bike
The rider 450 is the latest tt with free traffic and ww maps but it's pricey at £350 my routeapp uses sygic and another to transfer to mobiles I used it to last years gmu and it almost worked, lack of hands on use would be the blame!
Trouble is some of us only have simple phones with rubbish screens and hopeless GPS connections. I'll stick with my TomTom - plenty of room in the topbox for two devices and a neatly powered locking dock and RAM Mount that's very easy to use.
