hi I have a to tom rider sat nav and wondered if anyone has found the best/ most convenient way to secure this to a speed triple r? I have used yoke plugs before but this doesn't seem possible on the triumph . Cheers
Hi Wealdy, I've got a Zumo660 on a Ram mount which should be quite similar, used a ball mount on one of the bar clamp screws. I'm away at the moment but will post some pics next week.
No, it mounts on one of the four clamp bolts. Found some photos on my phone, best I can show you at the moment.
I was looking for the same. Regarding bar end mirrors, I can help here.... I fitted them and initially was not sure, but as soon as I started riding realised they do work very well and also look much much better than the standard bug ear flaps (my opinion)
+1 for that Be warned, there are threaded plugs welded just inside the bar ends, not impossible but they stop you easily using the general aftermarket ones with expanding collets. I tried some cheaper Chinese jobs first, but sent them back, weren't great quality. (But got Chinese levers that are very good) There's even two different thread sizes in the bar ends so be careful the dealer orders the right ones if you go genuine Triumph, not sure if it changes with model year or R verses non R.
Thanks folks excellent advice. Also been advised by triumph that as I bought bike with arrow cans already fitted I should get the mapping checked. Meanwhile enjoying ride outs
