Oop's cocked up here...!!! Just received my second Safe Start kit for my America, having previously fitted one to my Bonneville Newchurch....
Hi Joe I also put this up on the other Triumph Forum and had a similar reply to yours. Anyway I was sent this which you may find informative.... https://www.triumphrat.net/threads/...eads/using-ttp-safe-start-for-repair.974463/?post_id=2004108037#post-2004108037
Joe replied to the above with this, which should give you a bit more info....... Hi Mark as CFM stated above, which says it all really. One thing that I believe is important is to make sure your battery is in tip-top condition and kept fully charged, (Optimate or similar) that reduces the chance of the starter kicking back. But quite honesty, no disrespect here but there are hundreds if not thousands of 760cc & 865cc owners like yourself who have never heard of Safe Start, or the fact of what can happen if the starter kicks back and because they are obviously oblivious to it they do thousands & thousands of miles without any problems. But once you know about it like in my case It's always in the back of your mind.!!!
