I already posted my views on this, I follow the manufacture advice for the first 500 miles or oil change. But I have known folk who do not run their bikes in at all and just go for it from the off. Their bikes don’t seem to suffer for it, so who knows what is best?
When my lad and I did the factory tour they said that the design tolerances should give a service life of 200,000 miles. I have recently bought a new Street Triple R and was surprised at the length of the prescriptive running in regime.
