The Carry On's are films I can watch over and over, comedy from a bygone era. The wooden acting and cheesy story lines don't matter, it's the smut, the inuendo the blatant sexism that sells these to me. Oooh Matron! All replaced now by "alternative" comedy, alternative to comedy that's actually funny IMO. Maybe I'm just an old(ish) git but I'll always find those films funny and I really don't care who's offended by them. RIP Barbara.
Yeah shame she was definitely a one off ...I posted earlier but in the wrong section ....technical oops! Only two of the original carry on team left.
I think Leslie was in a 1 or 2 but not a regular, as was Bernard Cribbins. They're both in their 90's now.
Yep she definitely done well in the carry on film’s and then east Enders. Mind her private life was almost as colourful. She had a one night stand with one of the Kray brothers. Married three times including Reggie Knight a known gangster. Along with many other affairs a long the way. It is reported that she had five abortions, cause she did not want kids. She will be missed after all is said and done..
