    Yeeewww - don't say that - I drink loads of the JD I know and love! That would be a completely different sentence with the other JD!

    I rebuilt one 2 litre Pinto engine from two engines many moons ago for my old Mk1 Escort. Had it bored out, high lift cam, polished & ported head, twin 40 webers the works. Fitted it & it wouldnt turn over.
    Cut a long story short i had mixed the crank bearings caps from one engine with the other. But i didnt make that mistake again! Lol :rolleyes:

    While doing the shims I lost a torx 30 bit looked in sump magnet into engine rocked bike nothing. Yes folks found it on top of piston looks like its been trapped under a stem top lots of swear words later, now back on jd

    God man you were really lucky you didn't do far more damage, you could have smashed a valve, broken a conrod anything!

    What does the head look like? much damage?

    Had sump off and magnet down in to engine it also went over by hand I have two inlet & 2 exhaust vavles bent head needs regrind :frown: more jd called for
