I want to renew or possibly upgrade (but it would have to be mid priced) the shock on my 2001/02 DSSA Daytona. The fitment is different to the SSSA in that it has a U shaped bottom fitment rather than the single eyelet.

I'm struggling to find any aftermarket versions for the Daytona. Two questions - has anybody bought a replacement shock recently and if so from where, and secondly does anybody know if a shock from a different Triumph has the same fitting? I'm also going to ask MCT if they can service and rebuild the existing shock.

    Ta.

Not sure about the fittings, but I had a basic Nitron shock on my '02 Daytona 955 SSSA with excellent results. I have a Hagon shock on my '95 Trident, again with excellent results i.e. both were/are a damn sight better than the originals! I believe that the original fitment will be a Showa unit which is most likely rebuildable. I could, of course, be wrong on both counts!! This is not unknown!!!!!
