Just recieved a notice that there's a recall on several models of the bonneville line. Minor repair but a potential for a fire.. 20241123_153203.jpg 20241123_153810.jpg 20241123_153834.jpg

I received this notice as well for my 2022 T100. Is this a fix that we home mechanics can handle?

It seems simple enough. But the dealer is probably going to want their money for doing it. Actually I'll let them do it so if there's problems down the road I'm covered.

I have an hour and a half ride to the dealer. Plus, will they be able to do it while I wait? Doubtful. Unless it is a difficult job, I would prefer to do it myself and avoid the hassle.

I'd call them and ask them about it.

Not to mention, we have snow on the ground now and cold temps. My bikes are snug as a bug in a rug for the next 5 months at least. So, it will have to be done in the Spring.

My dealer said it takes 5 minutes, no big thing but important.

Thanks for this link. Reading the instructions it seems like an easy job that I could do myself and save a long trip to the dealer.
