Rear Wheel Nut Torque

What is torque setting for it please

 

Thanks, managed to find a Haynes manual at Halfords tonight, so got all the info I need on it now, just need to buy a 46mm socke.

 

You will probably need a breaker bar as well, if this is the first time that rear wheel nut has been loosened in a while the damn thing will need a LOT more than 146Nm to release.

 

It' had a new rear tyre a few years ago, plus I have a long breaker bar.

It has been known for people to put the engine in gear and use that as leverage!!! This could cause significant damage to the engine, specifically the gear selector forks, so if you test ride a bike and it is difficult selecting gears and there are false neutrals this would be why

Release 'break' the nut before you put the bike up on the stand and you shouldn't need to use much brake.......if at all. There are different torques for different years too so I would grab myself a Haynes manual if I were you. Worth their weight in gold

 

I never torque the rear wheel nut, can’t seem to get the holes for the circlip to line up when I do. I get it as tight as poss with a long breaker bar then line up the holes. Never had a problem.
