Hi guys new rear disc arriving today. Any issues re fitting it. All looks fairly straight forward, am I right? Hinckley 2003 Bonnie. Oh how long do I have to be registered before I can come on this part of the forum, I'm assuming it's ok now?
I cant specifically speak about the hinkley Bonnie, but on the rear disc situation regards fitting its as you say pretty much straight forward, as for registering and time scales your free to go anywhere on the site so enjoy Tone PS I will add brake disc bolts are normally difficult to remove, because of loctite used previous, use correct size tool, you may also need a impact driver
Do you have a workshop or Haynes manual? Not done that particular job myself but it should be relatively straightforward.

Thanks all, I'm sure if a problem does occur i'll be straight on here bleating. Did some work on the RD rear wheel last year etc and looks similar set up to that. WSM should be with me tomorrow.
Ok all successfully fitted and a brief road test concluded. But a separate issue has come up [possibly]. Being a good egg I took both silencers off as your suppose to. Refitted R/H one first no problem, but the L/H has minimal clearance between the bottom of the footrest and the top of the silencer, I do mean minimal, hardly get a cloth in the space yet other side has 3/4 inch easy. Is this the norm or have I a pattern silencer on the left possibly? Also what is the plug gap in old money? W.S.M. says 0.8-9 mm and my feeler gauge doesn't have that. I think that is 32 thou, can someone confirm/deny that please.
I had same problem with silencers ended up giving silence bracket a swift wack to bend it the sparkplug gap is 32-35 thou old money
After reading your reply mixfix I recall the guy I purchased the bike from saying had an accident a while back where he had a coming together with a Volvo who pulled out on him! I wonder if this is a summat to do with that, got missed somehow in the repair shop? Unlikely put may explain it. Time to get the vice out! Thanks for the conversion confirmation cousin....................................................ahem i'll go now.
Quick update, the height of the silencers is adjustable by roughly 3/4 inch. Just popped down to the garage before getting off to the concert at Wembley stadium [Springsteen] and noticed this and had a little fettle and gained a tiny bit more clearance. Didn't have time to remove the silencers at mo which is prob what's needed to get the thing fully clear plus I had my best jeans on! Should be easy to fully sort now.
