Prince Philip has been in the news recently and has been mentioned on another part of this forum so here goes.
I hate the royal family. They are a bunch of thieving tw4ts. They own vast swathes of land which they didn't pay for, they just nicked it. They have rented this land out over the years and made mountains of money. They have built properties, rented these out and made more mountains of money. We pay them millions each year. We pay for repair to their properties. We provide servants to dress them, to take the tops off their boiled eggs, to wipe their arses if need be. They are no better to us. In fact they are in breds. All their assets and cash should be given back to the ordinary people of this country in one form or another. Vive la Republique !

Will pitch forks be allowed ? Oh do you mean inflatable ones ?
And not real flame torches surely, we'd end up burning Bellingham to the ground !

Biggest 'OOPS' of this century so far, P.M. goes for a walk in Wales at Easter with 'Woody Allen' who tells her to hold a General election, OOPS! How the hell could it back fire so spectacularly!

My take on politics is (like me) quite simple. Does it work?

The problem with politicians is they generally don't let the evidence get in the way of their prejudices. They also claim prophetic powers. Economic forecasting is like asking a pathologist for a prognosis. They are great at telling you how the patient died but pretty unreliable at bringing them back from the dead.

And then there is Adam Smith - the farher of economics. He thought he was a moral philosopher. He basically worked out that we get wealthier when we have an incentive to increase our own output to buy the surplus of other people's output. He also recognised the most profligate were those spending other people's money......governments.

I think I had better stop now.......

Main thing Davidson was concerned about siding up to the DUP was LBGTI rights even over her own party!

Well they do say that a week in politics can be a long time.
As a young man of 60 summers I can never remember a more turbulent time in politics in my lifetime.
Having said that for the first 30 summers I didn't really give a f**k, life seemed much simpler living in ignorance.
