Woke up this morning to about a foot of water in the main pond and all the big koi and carp making a fuss and splashing about....my fault for trying out a new finer filter in the system, it caused the overflow to be overwhelmed and pumped most of the water onto the ground instead of back to the pond good job its a pump in the pond and not a bottom drain or i could have lost them. Handy in a way as i also found the hose had gone brittle so i have just been and bout 12Mt to replace it while i refill....had me running around like a headless chicken first thing before i was awake.
I re-installed my pond pump today from it's winter home in the shed. Scared the shit out of the thousands of tadpoles in the pond when the fountain sprung into life. Probably doesn't help though. Good luck with your leak.
