Hey Guys. As my Daytona 955i doesn't have a centre stand, I am thinking of getting a rear paddock stand (just for winter storage) I have never actually had a paddock stand, and I can see them ranging from 20.00 Quid up to 100.00. So I guess the question is whats the difference, obviously it needs to be able to hold the bike up, but money is tight and 20.00 Quid is a nice cheap option  Do the "universal" Ones actually fit the Daytona? do I need anything else, or is it just the stand, and up we go? Found these 2 below which seem ok, but any input would be helpful  Warrior Motorcycle Extra Heavy Duty Rear Paddock Stand -Ideal For Most DIY Tasks | eBay RWAIO Paddock Stand Motorbike Universal Front or Rear TRIUMPH Daytona 955i T595 | eBay
I have this one for my T595 Superbike Stand - Abba Stands, UK These may be expensive (£100) but they are fantastic and you can also get an attachment that means you can have both wheels in the air at the same time and they have to be the most secure way to get to your back wheel. Also if you have another bike you can buy the adaptation kit to fit for around £15 or so. Good Quality, British made and very clever. Cheers Steve
Cheers Steve Looks good, but I dont have the room for it where I park my bike, I have to leave it outside right now between my front wall, and the pavement, so dont think this would work for me with the limited space :-(
The one thing i dont like the look of on the warrior ones is that the "cup" the swing arm sits in is in the shape of an L so it appears that it could slide off it. I have a similar one to them but the "cup" Is more like a |_| shape so the swing arm is kept from moving side to side as well, If that makes sense.
Try to avoid the ones that come in a flat pack where the arms are bolted onto the main frame I bought one once and found that they tend to sag inwards under weight. I opted for a one piece from Advanced Bike Stands think it was about 40 quid been excellent. Pretty much a 'must' if you don't have a centre stand. Looked at both the ones you mention but they both bolt together but suppose you could weld them up to make them firmer. Cheers
Thanks Bikertone7 Good advise that I hadn't even considered, as the bike will no doubt be stood for a few weeks, then I dont want anything bending! So might just have to stump up for a proper One ;-) Thanks Guys
