Hi all, I am upgrading my Speedmaster to a Thunderbird this weekend. Just had a thought, which doesn't occur that often. What size Oxford Stormex rain cover will the Thunderbird need? any help appreciated
Don't waste yer dosh, buy one of them concertina tent things. Far superior. bloody brilliant bit of kit. BARGAIN ONE ON EBAY NOW
I have had 2, 1 for when I had my Bonnie in Bath, and another for my R.E's & Bonnie in Livingston, both took a hell of a battering, gales, rain, snow and heat, and they stood up admirably , well worth the money.
The no condensation and no rubbing against the bike is it. That's why so good. I could even ride the bike in wet, close it over, then dry the bike whilst inside, so you never hgave to put a wet bike away. I had mine rawlbolted to the paving slabs and was out in all weathers and 6" snow on it one morning. Bike dry as a bone underneath. I really don't understand why they are not more popular. Only reason I see is the high initial outlay. But if you are like me, I had to buy a new cover every winter, so cheaper in the long run. I tried Oxford andloads of others, but the weather round here trashed them in 12 months. Bought mine 2nd hand at £70, and I actually sold mine for what I paid for it !!!! and only got rid because we bought a house with a garage. For what that one's going for, I would buy it, use it over summer and sell it in the winter and get your money back.
