Hi All, Anyone got old Brit classic along with their present ride. I hankered over one for long enough and ended up going for one last year. Got a 1967 BSA 650 Lightning, absolutelt live getting her out on my own for some bike therapy. Certainly makes you grateful for the way our modern bikes run, something we take for granted.
Bucky Yes i have a Bonneville t140 ex. Haven't ridden it much as i purchased as a project and every thing is shot on it. Replaced lots of the electrics fitted boyer and rectifier now waiting for carbs to come as i have cleaned a replaced bits on my carbs and they are still messing around so there is something amiss in there. But i will get it useable sooner or later. Then i will be back here to show the inmates my big grin. But like you i have a great passion for the Beeza's always preferred them to the Triumph. Joe.
Bucky I sure will. I like working on the older models it seems easier. Next year i want to completely restore it and have it near showroom. But i want to get some fun first. Your Beeza is tops aswel. Do you use it much. Joe.
Aye, use it a lot, even for commuting at times. I got it to ride it, will obviously tend to it and keep it looking good, but not one for bringing it up to showroom and using it to display

A very nice BSA Bucky, Su n me have 6 older Triumphs as well as our modern ones, i prefer our older bikes but its nice to have the newer ones for longer rides.
My classics are looking forward to some detailed attention (and extensive work!) from the genius himself ... '67 TR6 export '70 T120 '71 TR6 My obsession with triples is reflected by the '75 T160, and my nod to the "small arms company" is a '69 A75R. I also have an unusual, handcrafted Triton with a pre-unit 6T motor. And, final Brit iron entry is a '72 750 Commando Interstate I have to emphasise that every one of these bikes needs work and none is, currently, in rideable condition. But, one day ............
