Mr. Sandi and I watched the National Dog Show on the television on our Thanksgiving Day holiday yesterday. Best in Show was.....the bulldog! @Vulpes, thought of you and your cutie. :) This guy is a bruiser and his name is Thor. :D Annie and I were excited because the Boxer was actually 3rd in the Working Group competition. Seems the Boxers are "always a bridesmaid".

I used to the same with my Labrador, and he reached nearly 16 years old, which is a good age for a Lab.

We give Annie 1 1/2 teaspoons of Photo-Flex made by Dogzymes for her joints. It's a powdered supplement that I can order from Chewy's. I'd never heard of it but the people that we got Annie from have been using it for years so we continued giving it to her when she came to live with us.

For giving Annie pills, I use a trick that we learned when she had to go on a potato and bean diet to figure out a digestive problem. Now she absolutely loves potatoes. So I cook up the smallest potatoes I can find (Trader Joe's has some called Teeny Potatoes) until they are just soft. You could cut up regular potatoes into smallish cubes then cook them. Then I cool them and store them in the fridge. When she needs her pills I just shove each pill into the little potato "pill pocket" and she snarfs it up. Cheap, neutral for her tummy, and she loves them. :)

Horse is called "Conor". He's an Irish sport horse. Love him to bits, Sandi. Below is the wife, on her horse Vinnie. He's FB_IMG_1575756575637.jpg an Irish draught. Lovely wee chap. (She's the one in the green coat).

Annie and Mr. Sandi out on our morning walk yesterday. :):sun: We have a nice walking/running/cycling path out our back gate that runs along the Rillito River. Although the Rillito is technically a river, it rarely has water in it. But at times it does run bank to bank during our monsoon season or during several days of heavy rain in the winter.

In these photos Annie had her eye on something across the field. We never did see what it was. Maybe a rabbit or a coyote or even a javelina. We see all of those in the wash (our common term for river) or in the area along the wash. In the last photo we're looking to the north at the Santa Catalina Mountains. Mt. Lemmon, a great ride, is at the far east end of the range. The elevation of those mountains is about 9,000 feet.

Another terrific photo! Conor and Vinnie--awesome horse names. :) Vinnie looks a bit of a "low rider" in this photo. I don't know if the term "low rider" is used in your neck of the woods but that's a car style niche here in the U.S. ;) If you're not familiar with it you'll have to check it out online and it'll make sense.. I've had horses in my past and really do miss them. They have such amazing personalities. As I said time and again, if I ever win the lottery (unlikely since I don't play it) my first purchase with be a horse. Thanks for the great photos.
