I spend quite a lot of time on another forum relating to one of my hobbies (no names) but sometimes the minority of moronic attitudes just gets on your nerves....so i need a holiday at the very least. So you will have to put up with my prattling a bit more as this is the ONLY other nice and friendly forum that i know.
Dam! just read Eastbournemark's thread....puts my pathetic wining into perspective...i almost feel ashamed.
Tricky_Dicky Like Vulpes said to me yesterday if you need to let of steam plead do so. That's what's its all about. I to use several forums. But have you ever thought maybe the users are not on the same level as we are. And you have nothing to prove its all there to be seen in your bikes. Yes I to read EastBourneMarks write up and yes it brought tears to my eyes after just getting over Tim's demise this come along. But I am a bit of a softie myself and cry at sad things in my community and this is closer its our Family. Regards Joe.
I agree, I think it's maybe our average age is higher than some forums. My nephew is on a Suzuki forum and its all "my dick's bigger than your dick" type stuff, which is ridiculous because my dick's bigger than both of theirs combined.
Repooh. And there you have it. All you need is a big Dick. Got a few left in my garage and I thing a torque wrench. Regards Joe.
Aahh. But is your Big Dick adjustable? Actually... Mine is a King Dick..... This is really the only Triumph forum I use. Member on a couple, but they are either dead in the water or full of..... Choobs. You get a better quality of banter and generally helpful replies here. But as far as the average age goes, I'm only 19. My body is nearer 60 right enough....
As Chief Prig might I respectfully point out that on here, being Classicists wot knows our Greek and Latin, we refer to other fora rather than forums. If we are not careful we will refer back (try referring forward ....it’s just ‘refer’) or use lame expressions like ‘for free’. No, if it is free it is not ‘for’ anything - just ‘free’! Tautology classes will resume next month.
There's an Aprilia forum, RiderSite, that's very good and friendly, at least it was when I had my Falco. And BoxerTrix for BMW is good, but it's gone a bit quieter of late. This site is good because it's friendly, helpful and varied. Folks seem to respect others' views even when they disagree (though I'm thinking hard about putting my tuppence worth on the brexit thread*). And, I really look forward to the Monday morning email with the list of the week's most popular threads. Great to have a peruse over the first coffee. I've seen a couple of problems on one site with guys (maybe same guy under different name) putting on seemingly innocent questions, only to get abusive at any answers. He/they, didn't last long. *Just noticed that I did contribute to the brexit thread early on. Might have got away with it...
Big Sandy No you know my big dick does not adjust atall and I got it wrong it king dick not big dick I think o'h need my meds quick. Brain has gone into fry mode. And yes I do have one. Again I think as I get headache's. Regards Joe.
Ron I been put back in my corner as it was a king Dick and it belongs to Big Sandy as mine are not adjustable. Regards Joe.
Yes I am a member of a few aswel. But the closest to this Forum in my opinion would be the 675 forum. Regards Joe.
Please, Sir - may I have some more? p.s. street-triple.co.uk has a fairly well behaved, usually knowledgeable forum membership and can be very informative and helpful, though it may seem rather too 'genteel' for some of the threads and banter on this forum. That's not, by the way, a complaint, merely an observation.
The Multistrada950 forum is a very friendly, welcoming place. Having only been in existence for less than three years, it’s developed since the launch of the bike and is now a excellent source of info as well as being a hub for chat, meetings, etc.
I think that this forum out shines all other forums that I have ever been on, including **.rat. Friendly fun, top information from very knoledgeable members. Long may it remain that way..
I am on several Triumph based forums. I enjoy this one for it's more international membership. I enjoy hearing a little broader perspective than some sites offer. Listening to others who are unlike yourself is where human understanding comes from. ...J.D.
