hello ye old wise ones ! My America came with an optimate charge lead. Whats your views. Some say leave connected all the time some say charge occasionally. Needless to say bike will be laid up for winter. Thanks
I have a few bikes and Madam has one. We have a couple of chargers that therefore get rotated about the 'fleet'. Even with one per bike I would not have them connected full time in case there was a problem. So they get a day or two every week or so (I bias the bikes with alarms a little). Seems to keep them good over the winter.
thanks guys its what I thought but always nice to have it confirmed. Had bikes all my life (57) but never looked at Triumph before..always been loyal to Hondas....now had my eyes opened to how beautiful the Triumphs are...proper bikes.
I know what you mean Dozer. Im obviously going to compare the Triumph to my previous Hondas (13 in all) Cant knock Honda for reliability and build. I just got bored with them..great bikes but no soul they all seem to look like two wheelled plastic cars these days...only done 100 mile on my 2016 America at the moment but I get just as much satisfaction sitting in my shed and looking at it....I think Im in love !!
I use the Oxford oximiser 900 during dec-feb when bike is off road. Left on 24\7 brilliant device, battery kept in a1 condition. Then I use the lead the rest of the time to connect to my sat nav when needed, like now.
