My 2011Triumph Tiger xc 800 had rusty old down pipes , so I asked a mate to make up a new set which he did and welded em to the cat . Trouble was the O2 sensor was goosed , so He fitted an eliminator . Which was a waste of money , gave me 140 miles on a tank full of petrol . Finally got him to drill a hole and fit a lambda ( O2 ) sensor into system just forewards of the cat . I now enjoy 180 + on a full tank .. So dont ever use an O2 sensor eliminator .
Interesting as the lambda feedback is only used by the ECU for low load and idle....you must do a lot of in traffic work.
That's interesting. I've removed sensors on a number of Triumphs before without affecting fuel consumption noticeably. My Tiger 955i runs without sensor plus it has a k and n filter plus a Tor. It does the same mpg as my mates bog standard one. Still you speak as you find and if it made that sort of difference to me I'd do the same as you.
