Rideout North East Run

Anyone that fancies doing this tommorow give me a shout,i'll be leaving Blair about 9 ish, can meet anywhere on the route

Great roads - about 260 miles? 450 if I start from here and chasing StripleR on a Bonnie could fray my nerves and tyres!

Weather looks good but I will go for a local squirt and watch events from Assen.

If I go to Grantown its 4 .5 hours or up to Elgin and see you through to Huntly lts just a couble of hours and dont loose the day.Did you get text?

Some cracking roads there. Enjoyed a lot of them when I lived up there.

yeah it was a braw day on some great roads

 

That 4 inch wheelbase difference is big when you see it in the pics.

 

What was your days millage ?

 

Not sure what the mileage was, about 250 ish I think, I was going to go home the Cairn o Mount road but when I looked at the black clouds towards Banchory & Cairn o Mount I decided to turn off on to the A97 just before Alford, it leads you to Dinnet on the A93,followed a few bikers and stopped off for a cuppa at Braemar..must have been raining earlier

 

It made a difference to me, Doug was making it look easy and I was working to keep up, an hes old, when I put up the photo I checked the specs and I was 100lbs over and 4 inch bigger ( no boast) so I feel a bit happier.

 

Just checked Cairn o mount, and I must try that road. Looks wide open and in good nick. Dinnets a rollercoaster eh?

Cairn O Mount is a great road..if it's dry! I'd forgotten how good the road down to Dinnet is
