I was due to receive my new Tiger 1200 yesterday but the dealer has been told by Triumph not to release the bike to me as there maybe an issue with the Metzeller rear tyre, has anybody any news on this ?

I agree but unfortunately I'd sorted my insurance out to collect the bike yesterday which meant my bike was no longer covered after midnight so I got them to collect it, so I've no bike at all now. I'm sure it will be resolved soon.

I agree with Boothman above but that ain't right. Surely it should have been sorted before you were due to pick it up.

Hi and welcome. Although a massive blow I’m sure, better to be safe. I’m a little confused, did the dealer keep the bike at their premises or release it to you and then come and collect it from your premises?
Not sure what the issue was with your insurance?
Anyway I hope the bike is sorted soon.

As a recent Triumph owner, I am always slightly surprised at the forgiveness shown by Triumph owners - if I bought a new bike, I'd want it on the day I was promised. How hard is it to fit a new tyre, or a new set of tyres if the Metzellers are faulty?

Pester the dealer.... the squeaky wheel gets the grease!
