    Just bought a DAB radio from Aldi, ideal stocking filler for the kids room etc, I have it on top of my stereo that's not DAB, sounds really good, graphic equalizer, 20 pre-sets, blue tooth etc, all for £40!!

    Valves still have a use in Radio , my linear has 4 811A valves in it. Lights the room up nicely.
    Those were used in audio amps originally.
    Wouldn’t surprise me if valves are used professionally.
    Down side of valves they have to warm up which in our must have it now society just wouldn’t do ;)
