    Hello everyone!
I'm Jeff and I'm a triumph guy. I am from central Ohio and currently own 3 vintage Triumphs. A 1958 TR6A. A 1958 T20C Cub and a 1967 Mountain Cub which I am currently restoring. Does anyone know if triumph engines were painted from the factory or were they just raw aluminum? Thanks in advance for your input!

Welcome in Jeff, the BSAs I had as a youngster from the 50's and 60's all had bare ali engine cases, the only bits that were painted were the barrells and cylinder heads so I'd guess the old Trumpets were the same but as above our resident experts will confirm what your bikes should look like, though in the mean time some photos would be nice ;)

Hello Jeff! It's great to hear about your vintage Triumph motorcycles.

Factory Triumph motorcycle engines were typically raw aluminum or had a clear lacquer finish.
