Quick hello from East Sussex. Have had an Explorer since 2012, which I totally love, and have now added a new Street Twin to the garage, well I will have when it's had the PDI and is ready for collection. Have been riding for 41 years, all sorts from chops, Harleys, old Brit iron through Jap sports bikes to a BMW K1600GT SE (which is being swapped for the Street Twin). I'm looking forward to being able to flat foot on this as I'm only 5' 7" so it's tip toes on the Explorer.

Will be looking to make some changes, so am keen to see what others have done.
    Cheers

Hi and welcome, the Street Twin is a great second bike. Mine shares the garage with my Thunderbird LT. There loads of mods you can do to your Street Twin. I've done a few on mine including:
    - Rear rack and grab rail.
    - Belly pan
    - Front mudgard extension
    - Mini screen
    - Tec exhausts
    - Tec rear shocks
    - Black radiator cover
    - Heated grips

Thinking about bar end mirrors and an after market seat. Just trying to win the business case for both with the other half.

That's right. Moved away at 2, up to Whitley Bay, but all my family are still there or thereabouts.

That's pretty much it. the K is such a lump to move around and takes up too much room, as well as my Explorer my wife also has her MT125 in the garage along with my bike lift it's pretty much full.

I was loaned a Street Cup while the Explorer was in for a service and had so much fun on it that it got me thinking. I prefer the styling of the Street Twin, and after the Mrs had a sit on one at the dealers that was it - deal done.

    Thanks for that.
I was looking at the Tec rear shocks yesterday, what's your view on them. I'm short and lardy and found the Street Cup a bit 'wallowy' in the bends so would be interested in your comments. I'll be doing a lot of 2 up riding so figured these might be the answer - they do seem to cost a hell of a lot less than other options.

Thanks for the welcome everybody, it seems like a great site and very welcoming. I look forward to picking your brains and many happy years on the Street Twin.

Yep I found the stock ones a little 'wallowy' as well. The Tec's do stiffen up the rear end, a noticeable improvement for me..

Great thanks for that Wessa. Just been through their website and now have a list of things to order rear shocks, progressive springs, pre load adjusters, slip on cans, centre stand.......

I can see this is just the start of things.
