Hi All, Just wanted to introduce myself as a new member, I am upgrading my current bike and as my dad rode a bonny , iam am going to guy triumph. i am looking at a 06 speedmaster as it looks to be the last of the models with twin discs on the front. can anyone tell me if they were be any major dramas getting an older model with low ks on it?
A 2006 Speedie will be a carb'd model rather than fuel injection and less electronic than later models. At that age it could be 790cc or 865cc. Re the twin disc set-up I think that continued until about 2012. Overall good straightforward bike that will give years of trouble-free service.
View attachment 13266 i had the 2006 carb model speedmaster for a few years and it was the best bike i've owned, currently have the 2011 efi speedmaster and although a good bike i get the odd problem with it, nothing i can't sort out tho but if i had the chance again i would have kept the 2006 model
Excellent news seventhson, I'm sure you have a load of fun on it. You know what we always say "pics or it's never happened". Let's see the new ride....................................... to celebrate with you
As said welcome to the forum, look forward to reading what you think once you've had a good chance to give it ride out and experience it properly, good choice I reckon its a fun bike all round.
So here is a further question if I may. Tyre pressures? i didn't get a manual and holy hell googling it gives so many variable opinions!!! Is there a standard recommendation ?
Welcome to the forum seventhson Does your name tell it's own story ? The bike looks nice, ride safely.
