    Good ! I hate to see really nice bikes with extremely low mileage on them. They have been built to be used.

    Welcome to the forum Ian. The Ace's are a great looking bike and we have already sold a couple of these at my work.
    Have you made any changes to the bike as Triumph have borrowed one that we have customised which was borrowed by Triumph UK to show up at Kickback this weekend which looks rather good :D.

    Hi Steve. No I haven't done any mods yet. I've seen your bike, it looks fantastic. Gonna get some miles on it first. Been spending time in my garage finishing a 1975 Honda 400/4 which belonged to my pals dad from new. That's done now so may see what I can do with the Ace

    We just had another owner in who has put some different silencers on his Ace which make the bike sounds like a proper 60's twin (which is brilliant) I see if I can find out who makes them as they are the best sounding pipes I have heard yet on a Hinckley twin. :D

    Steve, thanks but I put the TOR pipes on from new. Really like the noise they make. Would be interested to hear other mods people do

    Hi Ian, here's a list of popular mods peeps inc. my self have done on their Bonnies:

    1. De AI - remove the pile of poo Air Injection system for cooler running and less snatchy throttle and no more popping on over-run;

    2. Remove airbox snorkel and airbox baffle plate and install a DNA air filter;

    3. Install a new map to take account of airbox and exhaust mods;

    4. Replace rear bag o' shite cheapo shocks with anything - I went for TEC gas shocks;

    5. Replace front springs for either: a new set of progressives or a complete F3 front end;

    6. Replace front brake set-up.

    Just a few things to get you started:);):D

    Cheers
    Dave

    Thanks PJT. Some interesting ideas big lad. I'm gonna check some of those out. Spoken to Youles today to see if any mods would affect the warranty and they said they would help me manage the situation positively. Seem pretty good in there
