Hi I'm Mike. Thanks for adding me I'm picking up a Tiger Sport 660 next week. I've got a few questions for you old hands if that's ok?. Being a shortie (27in inside leg) lowering is a must for those times you stop on a heavy camber or next to one of Britains famous potholes. Suggestions welcomed as to which lowering method is best, but not lowered seat as I still want some comfort. Is it worth paying out for genuine hand guards (£88) or are the cheaper ones any good. £240 for heated grips seems a bit steep. Cheaper alternatives? I'm sure I'll think of more.lol. Thanks guys (and gals)

Greetings Mike If your bike has a ride by wire throttle the aftermarket heated grips won't fit. The Triumph grip is welded to the throttle tube! I'm on a Speedy RS and ruined a perfectly good throttle grip to gain this knowledge!
Hi and welcome! I have Triumph heated grips on my Striple and Oxford on my Ducati, the Oxford are the better set by far.

@Mike Spalding Welcome to the family. Very nice bike. I myself usually fit hand guards. Keeps the wind of the hands but use any make that fits well. Heated grips i would stay with oem as the warranty comes with them and they fit better. As for lowering the bike you need to check the side stand stays functional but worth looking around. A couple of my bikes i had the seat rebuild with RK LEIGHTON and stated i wanted comfort and they seemed to a cracking job of them.
Yes getting the OE grip off of the throttle tube is not impossible but it took me a goodly while when I fitted Ultimateaddons Premium Plus heated grips to my Striple at £150. Not only saving a £100 on the OE but they have five heat settings whereas the OE ones only have three. The other feature they have is heating on full power until they reach the temperature you have dialled in on the grip. The led changes colour indicating which setting has been chosen.
