just saying hi to all, hopefully when I get a bit more time you’ll be able to help me out on an issue I have with my newly acquired Daytona 2004 600 that likes to start flashing its temp warning after 10 minutes up the road, expect either bum thermostat or sensor issue as the fan does not switch on, Runs when tested with tune ecu but not when bike starts to overheat and my expansion tank is emptying its contents somewhere but not on the floor.

Any guys and girls, hello all, will get a post into correct category soon as can’t find anyone who has remedy for problem.

Hi Bob and welcome to the forum  sounds like an airlock in the system, if not purging on the floor, from the overflow. Have you tried replenishing the system?:p Best wishes on sorting

Hi, Ive taken off al the lower fairings and seat fairings cowl etc, yes after it emptied I refilled with coolant and left overnight, next day, empty reservoir but no puddles on floor. At the moment have had to abandon work as having to move narrowboat/home up from wilts to oxen. Have got a new thermostat, rad seems okay though some people suggest new rad cap. Beyond me at the moment where all the coolant is going but the purging does seem like a sensible option if someone previous has just topped the res up if its emptied without bleeding the system properly. Will definitely try it though. Thanks for your help. Bob
