Hi All, just joined the Forum. I am from Whidbey Island Washington, USA, just north of Seattle. I've been riding bikes since pre-teen years and have loved Triumphs since I can remember but never got around to owning one until recently. I bought a 900 Thruxton 3 years ago and a Bobber this last February. Love them both in different ways. Always was a Suzuki man and still have a 1200 Bandit for commuting and bad weather days. I'm a retired Aerospace engineer so I get lots of time to spend on the bikes now. Try to ride every day if possible, even for just a short trip.

I got out of there earlier then most, couldn't take it anymore, too many other things to do. Oh yes, quite often wondered how I ever got anything done while working. Now it's working without pay, but the reward is the beer fridge is in the barn after my afternoon rides......

    Thank you.
yep, still love the Suzuki's but they don't get the looks and comments the Triumphs do. I love sitting on the Bobber next to some harleys and all the lookers are checking out the Bobber and not the harleys..... hahaha

Hi and welcome. Yes using your bikes daily is I'm sure a joy. I'd rather take the bike than the car even for short errands :):)

    Hi DGB & welcome.
A big part of owning bikes is having something a little bit unusual & watching people checking out your machine whilst you queue up for a coffee.
Here in the UK & back in the 70`s & 80`s Honda made a 250 & a 400 commuter called a superdream....Well, they were thrashed, bashed, crashed, trashed & abused beyond belief...they had a nick name of "wet dream" as they were so dull & uninteresting & very few survived.
Roll forward over 30 years & I doubt there are 100 of them here left in top condition especially the un-restored ones. Well, I have one & everywhere I take it people gather round to have a chat & re live their youth. I have parked next to Fireblades, Yamaha R6 & R1`s yet it is the superdream that gets people talking & for me it is irrelevant of whether it`s good or bad what they are saying about her....for me it`s what biking is all about.
