Certainly great for A2 licence holders. Wonder if it can be de-restricted somehow after?
The paint shop in thailand leaves alot to be desired though......;)

Seems a bit of a shame to use such an iconic name as "Trident" on a middle of the road (ish) type bike???? Just my humble opinion!!!!!!

With a bit of luck they might do a couple of versions, say a 'Speed' Trident and a 'Street' Trident. It certainly looks like a decent platform to make some interesting variants out of.

Why try to resurrect the iconic Trident name on what is basically a 675 street trip, made to look , in mock up form at least, like an MT 09, just call it a street triple 675 FFS, oh wait they did that already.

This what was my initial thoughts were as well.
But I guess there is a lot more to be told, we only judge it by its looks and a newspaper speculative article.

Well they moved all production to Thailand to save costs. If they price them sub 8k they “might” sell plenty. But of course they won’t bring em in at a decent price because moving to Thailand was to increase profits not reduce the price of the bikes to customers.
Shame it doesn’t look anything special. Opportunity missed?
    Would I buy one? No.

Well the dealer price is the cost of production (including advertising etc.,) plus shipping plus duty plus local sales tax plus profit. It’s why $25 trainers retail at $100 plus but, hey, it says Nike on them.
The object of a business IS to make a profit for shareholders. Enlightened self interest (I.e. staying in business) says there are multiple sales strategies but gifting stuff to your customers ain’t one of them - even if some are naive enough to believe that is what you are doing. Marketing is merely the art of creating a perception of value.

I like it, but would want a full-fat motor in it.
