I bought some BMW boots about 15 years ago, they are still waterproof and still fine except for the damage done by one our our pups 6yrs ago !!
I've worn Altbergs for years (Army), and they're the best bookmaker out there. I've only worn combat ones myself, but if they're anything to go by then the motorbike ones will be just as good. Don't think of them as expensive either. You're paying for the quality. My riding boots though are Redwing's.
