    Greeting all
I am now the proud owner of a 09 1050 Sprint ST which I'm enjoying. My only gripe is the heat that seems to come off the engine on the left hand side, and aso under the seat which cooks my nads around town (not that they get much action at the age of 59) Is this normal (heat not lack of use of nads)
I've been riding bikes since I was 17 learning on a heavy Yamaha XS250, I wanted a RD but my dad refused to sign the HP forms for a 2 stroke
Bikes owned since then: Benelli354, Honda CX500, Katana 650 x2, FJ1200, 7 yr break then from 02 Bandit 600, Bandit 1200 Bandit 1250GT (for 10years), C90 now have the sprint
I grew up in West London, (Dad used to go to Ace in the late 50s) spent 24 years in the Royal Navy and haved lived in Gosport since 1988
I've been a member of our local bike club since the late 80s and used to go to rallies most weekends
I'm also a RBL and RNA Riders Branch member

I done both during my time. My first section onboard was the 4.5 Mk8 on HMS Bristol in 1979 spent the rest of my career as a ME(L) left in 02 and work on trains now

    Hi and welcome Andy.
You may get more feedback on your centrally heated goolies if you post in the Sprint section. We don't always look at new member posts, too many and lots dont bother replying, but we all check our own and maybe other sections.
Good luck and hopefully your gonads will soon be cool again.

Can't say I suffered overheating with my Sprint. Is the silver foil heat baffle present under the seat? And how many bars are you showing on the temp display? :)

Hi Andy and welcome to the forum:cool: seat insulation required, and I’ve found a balance pipe can help, but it could be tune, best wishes sorting :p

Around town its usually 3/4 of the bars and never seems to drop below half on the open road.
I haven't lifted my seat, is the silver foil baffle easy to see?

    Welcome , Bienvenue,
The best tip I found to avoid heat issues on the ST is to ride it fast as I can :grinning:

Hi and welcome, I never had any problems with heat when I owned my 1050 ST? I hope you get to the bottom of it :):)
