Hello, just a brief intro, I bought my latest Triumph a month ago, a 1992 Daytona 1000 that is a credit to its previous owners. I am embarking on a sympathetic restoration to keep its history intact but get its mechanicals absolutely tip top ( and they are pretty good already) I will be on here occasionally with questions looking for help or even offering answers. Just ordered an early Daytona 955i oil cooler to fit as my sort is no longer available. The 955i one looks very suitable and is £40 plus vat from Triumph. Interestingly for those with deeper pockets, a Kawasaki ZZR1100 D1 cooler appears to have the same mounts and fittings as the early Daytonas, but is £398 from Kawasaki. That's option B if the 955i one can't be adapted.

I'm sure I've seen an article on the Daytona 1000 in a magazine recently. Could be the current Motorcycle Sport and Leisure, but I could easily be wrong. Again!:(
    Any road up, welcome!!:)

Right, firstly thanks for the welcome, much appreciated, second, for anyone else with a similar problem here are two solutions.
    1. Buy a Kawasaki ZZR1100 D2 item. Same mounts, same fittings, slots straight in, slightly thicker but fits, no need to mod fairing. £398:00
    2. Buy a T595 one from Triumph, slightly different mounts but easy to adapt, same fitting for oil pipes, fits standard oil pipes on mine. £52:00 and some pence delivered. I can make mounts for a lot less than £346:00.
Both options require you to make your own grille.
